Thank you for supporting our charity calendar - £1700 raised!
Sales of our charity calendar have raised £1714 for St Barnabas Hospice, and a cheque was presented this week. Cast and crew from our production of Calendar Girls posed for the cheeky calendar after deciding to use the popularity of Calendar Girls to help the local hospice.
We’re thrilled to have been able to raise so much for the Hospice. Many of our members have been affected by cancer and other illnesses so we were all extremely keen to make a success of the calendar. Grantham Dramatic Society was formed in 1945 to raise funds for good causes after World War Two so raising money for the Hospice is very much in our tradition.
Assistant Fundraising Manager for St Barnabas Hospice, Tina Dingley, commented: “On behalf of everyone at St Barnabas Grantham Hospice I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone from GDS for nominating the Hospice to receive the proceeds from the sales of the Calendar Girls calendars. Also a huge thank you to everyone who very generously purchased the calendars which resulted in the Hospice receiving the magnificent sum of £1,714 which will help us continue providing specialist hospice care within the local community; it really is greatly appreciated”.
Remaining calendars are still available from St Barnabas Hospice in Grantham for a small donation, and last until January 2014.
