Blithe Spirit - By popular demand!

Our next production will be Noel Coward's sparkling supernatural comedy, Blithe Spirit. We will be on stage at the Guildhall Arts Centre from 24th to 27th May.

The play follows writer Charles Condomine as he holds a seance as research for a forthcoming story. All is going well when local medium Madame Arcati agrees to contact the other side, but soon Charles' life is turned upside down when his dead wife, Elvira, is brought back to visit him. Not a great situation when Charles has remarried, and his current wife finds out about the invisible house guest.

There are brilliant characters, and a lively plot with plenty of twists and surprises. Madame Arcati is a fabulous character in particular, and is a well known role in the theatre. Competition for roles was stiff, but we have a fantastic cast and can't wait to bring the play to the stage.

Tickets are on sale now!

This play was chosen as a result of the public vote that we conducted at the end of 2016. We surveyed audience members at our November show and held an open survey online, and Blithe Spirit came out as one of the favourite shows. There were also other plays you liked the sound of so we have lots of ideas for future shows.

We always like to hear from you which plays you would like to see, so do get in touch.
