Blackadder the Third - what a show!

We had a great run with Edmund, George, Baldrick and co. It was an absolute hoot, and the audiences agreed! Here are just a few photos to give you an idea of what the show was like. Don't miss our next show, to be announced soon.

Blackadder the Third coming soon...

Haven't you heard? Blackadder is returning to the Guildhall this November - this time it's the Regency period and Edmund is down on his luck. Once he was a member of the nobility, now he's the servant to the Prince Regent.

We'll be performing three classic episodes from 21st to 24th November so grab your tickets!

Gorgeous photos from Allington Manor shoot

We've been out and about for our latest photoshoot - to Allington Manor to be exact!

Our cast and photographer, Adrian Bond (also our Producer!) were delighted to be hosted at the beautiful venue. Renowned for the stunning surroundings and top service, Allington Manor was a perfect backdrop to our shoot for When We Are Married.

Representing the Victorian era home of the show's characters, the Manor really helped to set the scene and highlight the differences between the characters - some of whom are mostly used to being below stairs! Find out more about the show, and book tickets on our Latest Show page.

The photos turned out brilliantly, and our thanks go to the Vincent family for so generously hosting us. When We Are Married opens on Wednesday 23rd May and runs until Saturday 26th May - 7.30pm nightly.

When We Are Married - get involved now!

Our next production is J B Priestley's 'Yorkshire farce' When We Are Married. This fantastic play visits three couples celebrating their shared 25th wedding anniversary - or at least they think they are. A startling revelation shakes the foundations of their marriages, and a series of unmanageable characters and situations threatens to expose the couples to scandal!

This great play has a big cast, 8 men and 7 women, of varying ages. The three couples at the centre of the story need to have playing ages of over 40, and there are many other roles.

As well as the cast, we are looking for people to take on all the backstage roles so if you're interested in helping with sets, props, costumes, hair and makeup, marketing, graphic design, producing and anything else, then please do come along.

The focus of our first meetings will be on finding our cast and selecting a director, but we want you all to come along - you get a chance to see what the play is about, and we need to gather details of everyone who wants to take part.

Meetings will be at 7.30pm at our rehearsal rooms on 9th, 11th and 16th January.

Now is a great time to get involved - it's a new year and an ideal time to try something new! We're a friendly bunch and always welcome new members. Casting is done by informal readings where we take it in turns to read different parts while sitting in a big circle. We don't ask you to learn a part and stand up on your own so don't be too nervous! As readings progress we may start acting out bits of scenes in groups, but it's very informal.
